Tata Communication doubles data center capacity in response to market

Well-known web design in Cambodia Digital Marketing Agency, Tata Communications with data centers at 44 locations all over the globe is to invest US$200m to double its data center capacity in India since the company’s business is growing faster than the market rate.

According to Tata Communications’ Growth Ventures CEO Rangu Salgame, “Typically a data centre takes approximately 5 years to reach capacity, however, in well-positioned and strategic locations it could be faster.

For example, 95% of the data that is in our data centers today was created in the last 12 months. So that’s the scale at which data is exploding.”

Moreover, the CEO highlighted the importance of privacy and security issues as to where the data center should be stored. He said:”Multinational companies who are doing well in India are also looking to store data within the country.”
