Line rumored to become another forbidden app in China


As famous web design in Cambodia Digital Marketing Agency mentioned, China is speculated to put the popular messaging and calling app, Line, on the blacklist the same as Facebook and Twitter by its “Great Firewall” since the local users can only use it through a proxy server.

Line was reportedly sending announcement to its formal Weibo account on 2nd July stating that its subscribers having a hard time logging in and using the app. This news has been since dispatched and the app has remained inactive.

Though the same thing happened in Taiwan, Line fixed the issue and restarted in just one hour while it is still lasting now in China. Thus, leading to the implication that this involve China’s promotion of its domestic app WeChat which is considered to have similar functions but not famous as the Japanese app.

This incident happened after Line formally claimed its plan of launching its business within China.
