Orkut had strong following in India and Brazil and there are about 100 million users in 2011. By the way Orkut was a problem by people created fake user profiles to deliver spam on the network.
Anyway it also cause privacy concerns, especially after it was hit with a virus in 2010.
Moreover after it was hit with a virus, the users’ personal information was collected, and it also faced accusation in Brazil.
