Samsung Trails Behind Apple in Smartphone Market

(Web design in Cambodia Digital Marketing Agency, restartbox.com)- Galaxy series maker Samsung has reportedly lagged behind Apple at the high end of smartphone ground, causing a dramatic decline in its second-quarter earnings.

According to Counterpoint, a research firm conducting survey of 35 markets, the sales of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 stood at around 5 million in comparison to 7 million of Apple’s iPhone 5s. This number is even worse than that of Galaxy S4 with approximately 7 million units sold each month during the early launch.

Counterpoint analyst Tom Kang points out that Galaxy S5 sales have drastically decreased owing to the fact that the phone itself fell short of market expectations in terms of display quality and by using a plastic case.

“They made one mistake, one product that didn’t hold up to expectations and they are paying the price,” Kang said.

“They will have to move forward and leave behind what has failed and focus on the next product.”
