IBM’s $3 Billion over 5-Year Plan on for Chip Breakthrough

(Web design in Cambodia Digital Marketing Agency, restartbox.com)- IBM has announced its plan to put $3 billion into chip research and development with a view to finding an efficient game-changing breakthrough, significantly in the form of new materials as carbon nanotubes rather than current silicon chips.

According to Richard Doherty, a research director at The Envisioneering Group in Seaford, the new chips will provide more stability and faster connections, allowing computer systems to emulate the brain’s efficiency, size and power usage.

“You might say this is not a good time to be in the silicon chip business, but it is a great time to be ready for the next thing. This is the next thing,” Doherty said.
