Suppliers Told to Manufacture up to 80 Million Large-Screen Apple’s iPhone

(Web Design in Cambodia, Digital Marketing Agency, restartbox.com)- Apple Inc. has reportedly told its suppliers, Foxconn and Pegatron Corp, to produce 70-80 units of large-screen iPhones, starting this month.

This is a big jump from the previous iPhone models, with the company ordering only 50-60 million of the iPhone 5s and 5c.

Cited by the Wall Street Journal, iPhone 6 screens will come out with 4.7-inch (11.9-cm) and 5.5-inch (14-cm) displays, which are much larger than the previous 4.0-inch (10.2-cm) panels.

As reported earlier, the next-generation iPhones are also expected to feature metal cases similar to the iPhone 5S and likely come in multiple colors.

Though, the production for the 5.5-inch models is rather complicated because the displays are using in-cell technology, allowing the screens to be thinner and lighter by integrating touch sensors into the liquid crystal display and making it unnecessary to have a separate touch-screen layer.
