Twitter adjourns accounts posting macabre images

(Web Design in Cambodia, Digital Marketing Agency) – Following the shocking and horrific death of American photojournalist, James Foley, this Tuesday, famous online social media, Twitter, has announced all accounts responsible for distributing his decapitated pictures extracted from the killing video are all suspended.

“We have been and are actively suspending accounts as we discover them related to this graphic imagery. Thank you,” tweeted Dick Costolo, Twitter’s CEO.

Costolo further said that this action clashes with Twitter’s terms of service which prohibits violence and threats.

The firm also take action towards images and videos of passed-away individuals. Their images will be removed per request of family members. This impact is established after a fake photos of famous comedy and film star Robin Williams were tweeted to his daughter following his death this month.

Twitter is known to have a softer regulation in its terms of service towards violence compares to other online companies. Hence, these activities show that the giant online media begins to consider strengthen its policy.
