Recent-found security flaw in USB

News has been announced by researchers Karsten Nohl and Jakob Lell that USB can be the ringleader in allowing hackers to control any devices it connected to due to new-found security vulnerability.

The process in order for devices such as a USB key and external keyboard to be hacked and controlled is by accessing the UBS controller chip that let the devices has a direct contact with the computer then hackers can change the devices’ microcode. And people should stay alert because it is reported that the problem has not been dealt with yet.

“These problems can’t be patched,” stated Nohl. “We’re exploiting the very way that USB is designed.”

“You can give it to your IT security people, they scan it, delete some files, and give it back to you telling you it’s clean, [but] the cleaning process doesn’t even touch the files we’re talking about.”

The duo researchers expect to display their evidence at the Black Hat conference next week, as always famous Web Design in Cambodia, Digital Marketing Agency highlighted.
