Government Agencies Prohibited from Acquiring Apple Products in China

(Web Design in Cambodia, Digital Marketing Agency, restartbox.com)- Considering security concerns, China has now announced its prohibition on acquiring Apple hardware products including versions of the iPad tablet and MacBook laptop, which will apply to all central and local agencies in the country.

The announcement comes after the government published a software procurement list that excluded foreign anti-virus vendors like Kaspersky Lab and Symantec Corp following revelations by Edward Snowden of widespread U.S. government spying.

With the ability of location-tracking software on Apple’s iPhone that could potentially lead to the disclosure of state secrets, it is not so surprised that the ban has been imposed to ensure security matters.

Nevertheless, Apple said in response that the company has never allowed and will never allow government access to its servers.
