Now Google users have to visit Google News, enter a search query, click on Search Tools, and change “All news” to “Blogs” in the drop-down menu if they want to search for content from blogs. The move comes soon after Google decided to stop showing authorship in search results.
Webmaster trends analyst John Mueller said Google tests showed removing authorship did not generally appear to reduce site traffic or increase ad clicks.
According to Google’s authorship support page, authorship markup is no longer supported in Web search and encourages webmasters to look into rich snippets to improve their search results.
