Customers angry over foiled attempts to land an iPhone 6


Well-known web design in Cambodia, Digital Marketing Agency, Customers pre-registering with SingTel to get Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones expressed their anger on Wednesday (Sep 17), after the handsets were sold out within minutes of its opening.

According to SingTel’s Facebook page, customers who had pre-registered with the telco were supposed to have been able to book an appointment from 3pm on Wednesday. However, all available stock was quickly snapped up.

One Facebook user, Janice Tqm, said at about 3.17pm: “The moment I logged in at 3pm it was already out of stock. What is this?” Another user, Cedric Lim, posted on SingTel’s page at about 4.11pm: “What is this? I pre-booked but I couldn’t get an appointment within three minutes?”

For telco, more than 50,000 customers who had registered their interest attempted to book an appointment and more than 15,000 slots were snapped up in less than 15 minutes.
