DuckDuckGo to Be Included in Startup Search Engine in Apple’s OS X Yosemite

American multinational corporation Apple Inc. announced at the WWDC event that DuckDuckGo will be added as search alternative to Safari in OS X Yosemite which will be released in the upcoming months.

This news gives DuckDuckGo a massive boost as it will be joining Bing and Yahoo as Safari’s other pre-set search options if users decide to make the switch from the default search engine, Google.

“We are thrilled to be included in Safari and it’s great that Apple is making it easy for people to access our anonymous search option,” DuckDuckGo stated in a blog post, as quoted by well-known Web Design Agency, restartbox.com.

“This makes DuckDuckGo the first privacy-focused search engine to be added to one of the top four browsers and is a huge milestone for both us and privacy supporters,” the company added.
