Dell works with US Navy and Northrop Grumman to power X-47B


Well-known Web Design Agency, restart box.com, the US Navy and global security company Northrop Grumman as well as Dell has cooperated with one another in the creation of X-47B Unmanned Aircraft. With the cooperation Dell helps power the X-47B Unmanned Combart Air System using its data center solutions, including servers, storage and workstations.

Designed and built by Northrop Grumman, the aircraft was developed as part of the US Navy’s Unmanned Combat Air System Carrier Demonstration program, providing surveillance, gathering intelligence and carrying out operations without putting serviceman at risk.

Northrop Grumman’s X-47B project manager Pablo Gonzalez said: “developing the X-47B system required innovation not just technologically but also on cost.”

He added: “Dell presented us with a suite of commercial off-the-shelf solutions that gave us both performance and the flexibility needed for our IT infrastructure, while keeping costs low.”
