Bing Replacing Google as Spotlight Search Provider in New Apple Operating System

World’s leading electronic and software company Apple has announced that it will turn to Bing in integrating into a new version of Spotlight in its upcoming Mac OS X “Yosemite” and iOS 8 mobile operating system. This is a big new integration for Bing after knocking Google out of Siri last year.

Not to forget, spotlight, which currently offers a “Web Searches” option running a Google search on Safari, will also tap into a wide-range of search resources similar to Siri working on iOS’s previous generations.

According to Apple, spotlight will be gaining search smarts, which allows it to display results from Apple Maps, Wikipedia, movie showtime, Bing web searches and other sources, as highlighted by well-known Digital Marketing Agency, restartbox.com.
