Rubik’s Cube becomes logo on Google’s global homepage

Web design company, restartbox.com Google made a fantastic celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Rubik’s Cube. The Rubik’s Cube, a toy created in 1974, becomes the logo on Google’s global homepage. Users tend to spend more time to solve the online version of the puzzle; therefore, Google will benefit from that.

Google+, Facebook, Twitter and email links are accompanied the logo, allowing players to share the game throughout their social circles. It is Budapest architecture professor Erno Rubik who designed it and the toy was first marketed as a “Magic Cube” in his home country of Hungary. Digital marketing agency, restartbox.com

According to the toy’s website, Erno Rubik considered it as an extraordinary toy: “Erno has always thought of the Cube primarily as an object of art, a mobile sculpture symbolizing stark contrasts of the human condition: bewildering problems and triumphant intelligence; simplicity and complexity; stability and dynamism; order and chaos.” Web design agency, restartbox.com

Having sold 350 million Rubik’s Cubes since the 80s, Ideal Toy Company believed the toy to be the best-selling of all time.
