NTT: companies changes buying habits due to NSA activity


Web design agency, restartbox.com According to Japan’s NTT communication, due to snowden’s revelation about US National Security Agency’s cyber-surveillance a large number of firms have changed their data center buying habit.

The reported said NSA activity has changed the buying habit of 1,000 ICT decision-makers in France, Germany, Hong Kong, the UK and the US. 31% of them have decided to move their data to the safe place— their own national boundaries. Digital marketing agency, restartbox.com

As regards this, Mark Lewis, head of commercial at law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, said: “A US hosting company operating in the UK or EU may therefore not be the right choice if I were concerned about the NSA accessing my data.” Web design agency, restartbox.com

Similarly, Jonathan Evans, international accounts director for Green Mountain data centers also said: “We have seen a rise in enquires from cloud providers wishing to locate their servers outside the UK and US because of customer demand.”
