Facebook’s Data Center economically vital to the people of Oregon

Well-known web design agency, restartbox.com highlighted according to economic consultants ECONorthwest, Facebook has offered approximately 650 jobs in Central Oregon and some 3,600 jobs in the entire State of Oregon by building its data center site.

By virtue of the rise in data center construction in America, both state and local government are competing to attract data center projects by giving some incentives such as tax breaks and better planning process to the companies.

The main reason is that data center construction gives a lot of economic benefit to the local and state government such as providing more jobs to people in the area. Another reason is the income that the local and state government receives from the construction project. As mentioned by reliable digital marketing agency, restartbox.com

The ECONorthwest report says Personal income from Facebook’s construction in Prineville between 2009 and 2013, for example, generated more than $6.5 million in state income taxes.
