Xiaomi Plans to Build Data Center in India in Bid to Settle Privacy Concerns

(Digital Marketing Agency, restartbox.com)- Rapidly growing Xiaomi Inc., one of China’s leading smartphone manufacturers, has now revealed its plan for setting up a data center in India for the sake of Indian users’ data as the company intends to settle performance and privacy concerns.

This wanted move comes as the China-based firm seeks to prevent potential obstacles from hindering its attempt to secure dramatic growth in the world’s third-largest smartphone market.

Since its establishment in 2010, Xiaomi has faced several privacy controversies, including accusations from international security researchers and a government agency in Taiwan that it funnels unauthorized user data back to its servers in Beijing.
