Google changes Standards for important and interesting information

Well-known Digital Marketing Agency, Google News, which has always maintained a strict set of guidelines for which sources it will display in the “In the News” section, has now clearly adjusted its standards for newsworthy material.

According to a Google spokesperson, they “will be pulling from all over the Web, which means that we will present as diverse a range of voices as possible to ensure we get users the answer they are looking for.”

Based on Google News guidelines, there is a very rigid set of standards in place that a website must meet in order to be a part of Google News, including news content, journalistic standards, authority, accountability and readability.

When it comes to its news quality guidelines, Google shares: “Publishers who strive to uphold the basic principles of good journalism will provide a much better user experience and consequently likely enjoy better ranking than those who spend their time looking for loopholes they can exploit.”
